Should I apply for official refugee status?
No.
- All passengers arriving in Syria, with the exception of children under the age of 12, are required to undergo a PCR test in laboratories certified by the local authorities of the countries no later than 96 hours before arrival in Syria. Passengers who have a positive result of the PCR test are prohibited from entering Syria.
- Exemption: passengers who cross the border and have received the 2nd dose of the vaccine against COVID-19 or have undergone a full vaccination (1 dose of the vaccine) after the expiry of the 2-week period after such vaccination (confirmed by the vaccination certificate) are exempted from the obligation must present a negative PCR test result upon entering Syria. All vaccines against COVID-19 are recognized in Syria.
