Trinidad and Tobago is a state that occupies several islands (the largest of which is the island of Trinidad and Tobago) in the Caribbean Sea. The country neighbors Venezuela (separated by the Dragon’s Mouth, Serpent’s Mouth, and Gulf of Paria straits), Grenada, and others. The total population of the state slightly exceeds 1.3 million people, 96% of whom live in Trinidad. Nature in Trinidad and Tobago
The island of Tobago was formed as a result of volcanic processes and has a corresponding mountainous relief: its northern part is occupied by lowlands and forests. Trinidad is more flat (because it used to be part of the mainland) with three small mountain ranges. The largest rivers of Trinidad are Ortoire and Coroni. The vegetation is dominated by tropical evergreen forests, with a variety of tree species. The animal world is also diverse and rich.
